2Calculation Accuracy & Tax Law Basis
Our calculator applies the statutory rules stipulated by the Inland Revenue Act No. 24 of 2017 (as amended) and the revised personal income tax reliefs enacted for Year of Assessment 2025/2026 (effective April 1, 2025):
- Tax-Free Personal Relief: LKR 1,800,000 annually (LKR 150,000 monthly).
- Revised Progressive Slabs: 6%, 18%, 24%, 30%, and 36% rates on taxable earnings.
- Statutory Funds: Employee EPF (8%), Employer EPF (12%), and Employer ETF (3%).
